Fun fact: I found out David tennant has a podcast with a guest that cycles out each episode (it’s very good, you should go listen) and one of them has Neil in it!
You can yell at me if this is old news now but this little bit about “have a nice doomsday” and episode threes cold open is so… agh, I love it
(hearing about Neil’s writing process in general is also incredibly neat)
What I love about the Barbie/Oppenheimer thing is that while Oppenheimer is surely destined to be an award season darling, I don’t think it was necessarily destined to be a box office smash. Yes, it’s Christopher Nolan, who’s a big name, but it doesn’t have universal appeal. So it amuses me that this very serious film is getting all its buzz from opening alongside Barbie.
NOT when Genie exists it is not. don’t piss me and taeyeon off please.
We love Gee to death, it did what it needed to do but Genie needs to stop being overshadowed here, let’s be nice to Sooyoung and retire the song…..
people pick gee because it is the “stereotypical” kpop song or at least what these critics think kpop should sound like and they can’t put gangnam style because it is not a good song but LETS PUT SOME RESPECT ON GENIE AND ITS BRIDGE AND ITS ADLIBS
Is it ever okay to just admit that homophobia (and racism and Islamophobia and antisemitism and ableism -all of it, I’m sure) hurts? Or is that just too much of a show of weakness in the age of witty clapbacks?
Well, I’m a weak bitch. It doesn’t make me mad all the time. Sometimes, unfortunately, it just makes me really fucking sad to read comments like that. Really sad.
